Sermon for Trinity Sunday 22 May 2005

The readings today speak of God as creator and our responsibilities as stewards of that creation; they call us to look at the world and praise God, its maker; they commission us to go into the world and spread the gospel; and they challenge us to leave peaceably with one another. If it were just the creation story, then a homily on literal interpretations of Scripture and creation science may be better placed. But I think it’s significant that these readings are placed together: they integrate some important parts of our faith. Read more…
