Butcher A. A report on the demographic, social and economic impact of international students on North Shore City. Auckland NZ: School of Social and Cultural Studies, Massey University. 2002. 62p. Includes bibliographical references. ISBN: 047309259X

This report begins with a description of national and regional demographic trends as drawn from the 2001 Census of New Zealand. It then notes the educational demographic trends of international students, again nationally, regionally, and specifically to North Shore City [in Auckland, New Zealand]. The second part of this report examines the social experiences of international students in NSC as drawn from a survey of 245 international students across the educational sector. Finally, drawing on this survey, as well as previous economic research, identifies the economic benefits to North Shore City, through both direct and indirect expenditure.  Read the full report here North_Shore_study.pdf
