“Certainly, there is nothing wrong in seeking to improve one’s services in order to attract a greater market share, or better students. However, it is wrong if that is where the story ends, especially if we look only at international students as a commodity and, in a more mercenary way, as providers of much needed money for our cash-strapped universities. The purpose of this paper is not to retell negative experiences, but to take from these experiences the pointers to better facilitation of positive learning experiences for international students.
